Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein had laid the foundation stone of ordination hall on March 26, 2018 in gracious presence of the second highest ranked monk of Thailand Venerable Phra Sudhamadhipati, the Abbot Assistant of Wat Bovornives Vihara at Kongmu Kham (Golden Pagoda) monastery. The laying of foundation stone was witnessed by devotees in large from adjoining areas of Noy Chenam (Tengapani) and Thailand.

The ordination hall (uposatha ghara) is a building of great importance for the Theravada Buddhist, which is specifically consecrated and designated for the performance of the Buddhist ordination ritual (upasampada) and other ritual ceremonies as per Theravada Buddhist rituals.
